This climat is named for M Bertin who planted vines in his fields located near to Clos de Bèze. Soil composed of screes rich in limestone and clay. Small yield and big ripeness.
Fine and intense aromas deliver layers of fresh red fruit, raspberry and cherry, uplifted by hints of sweet spice and toasted nuts. The wine is well-balanced and concentrated, with silky, polished tannins and a touch of minerality that adds complexity. It finishes with finesse and persistence.
